LADY Marmalade Massage and Beauty owner Maria Bertram believed the Urangan marina offered her start up business the best chance of success of all the locations in Hervey Bay.

With high-end accommodation such as the Ramada and Mantra generating a source of visitors, and institutions such as the nearby Hervey Bay Boat Club ensuring plenty of foot traffic, Maria was sure her decision to open at the marina would breed success.

"The marina is the perfect spot for Lady Marmalade, I think the zone is on the up," Maria said.

"Businesses are joining together to form a group to attract locals with the idea of a having a holiday every day.

"It is such a beautiful environment to come to with some fantastic things to do. "We are planning a fashion parade for Melbourne Cup day as an example of the things we want to do periodically."

Lady Marmalade is about pampering self.

The store offers make-overs for weddings and other big moments such as graduations.

There is a large range of cosmetics and beauty treatments such as massages, body scrubs, tanning, manicures and pedicures.
