Mariners ready to fight fire with fire in ACL clash

MARINERS striker Bernie Ibini is set for another physical battle with Beijing Guoan tonight as Central Coast looks to put its AFC Asian Champions League bid back on track at Bluetongue Stadium.

Guoan won the first game between the two sides 2-1 in China two weeks ago, and put in some tough tackles.

But Ibini (pictured) said the team was prepared to give as good as it got this time.

"It's going to be a very physical game which you don't normally see from the Chinese, Korean or Japanese teams," Ibini said. "We'll be up for the battle because it is our home turf and we'll make sure that we're ready. We have our game structure ready to beat them."

In tonight's other game, Western Sydney Wanderers will be hoping to continue their good ACL form with another win over Kawasaki Frontale in Japan. The Wanderers beat Kawasaki 1-0 at home a fortnight ago and sit second in their group.
