Twilight markets may be cancelled

IF YOU are thinking of heading down to the Torquay Twilight Markets tonight keep an eye on the weather.

A decision will be made by 10am today as to whether the markets will go ahead.

If it is still raining by then stall holders will be informed by email. Those without email can contact Larry Burch at Aquavue Cafe on 4125 5528.

If the clouds reveal a sunny day, everything will go ahead as planned, including the jumping castle and sausage sizzle.

The markets are held outside Aquavue Cafe on the Esplanade and run from 4pm to 9pm.

There is a variety of stalls for the keen shopper to peruse, including stalls selling hand-made glass jewellery, wooden boxes, Asian homewares, hair and beauty products, paintings, embroidery and clothing.

There will also be tarot card readings and hand-made handbags.

The markets will be held on the first Friday of each month except May, June, July and August when they will run on Saturdays between noon and 4pm.
