Maryborough teams dominate season but who makes the final?

HOCKEY: Maryborough District Hockey Association's powerhouses Granville and Wallaroos dominated the first Fraser Coast League regular season, but can they keep the momentum going in the finals?

That is the question Hervey Bay Hockey clubs Magpies and Brothers hope to answer with an emphatic "no” when they face off in the inaugural competition's semi finals at McFie Park tomorrow.

Both Granville and Wallaroos have lost just once each this season, trading wins in their two rivalry games, though Brothers Hervey Bay earned a 4-4 draw with Wallaroos in week one.

Brothers have the chance to go one goal better against Wallaroos at 6.10pm, before Magpies face the might of Granville at 7.35pm.

The winners will play the final at Maryborough next week.
