Maryborough's new fire station takes a step forward

THE Maryborough Fire Station and its surrounding buildings were mapped and scanned at the weekend by the University of Queensland.

The scanning, which was done using hand-held devices which emitted a laser beat, to create a 3D model of the existing building.

This step was done ahead of the development of a new fire station and emergency response centre that is coming soon to Maryborough.

Hyne Timber plan to submit the detailed proposal next year.
