Halloween masked men try to rob driver

A TAXI driver refused to hand over money after two armed men wearing Halloween masks and hoodies attempted to rob him at a Cooloola Cove address early last Wednesday.

A taxi was ordered to an Mariposa Pl address about 1am and while the driver waited, two men wearing hoodies and Halloween masks got in the vehicle. The men demanded money from the driver, however they left when the driver refused to hand over any cash.

The men fled the scene on foot.

The two men are believed to be in their 20s and were wearing Halloween-type masks.

One man was wearing a green hooded jacket pulled over his head, the other was wearing a red-coloured hooded jumper also pulled tight around his face to conceal their identity.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around that time or who has any information that may assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
