May finish for the council's 1.2km Esplanade road upgrades

THE project to widen 1.2km of the Esplanade between Corser and Flinders Sts in Pt Vernon is on course to finish mid-May.

The project began early February and road detours have been in place since.

Fraser Coast Regional Council chief executive Lisa Desmond said so far broken kerbing had been removed, retaining walls built and pavement foundations prepared.
