Mayor helps Riding for the Disabled celebrate 30 years

MARYBOROUGH Riding for the Disabled celebrated three decades helping people with a disability on Saturday.

The not-for-profit group now has six horse, 25 registered riders and about 30 volunteers after moving to Bidwill Rd 30 years ago.

Fraser Coast Mayor Gerard O'Connell was on hand to cut the cake and hop on a horse.

He said he was touched by the work of the group's members and he praised their efforts in improving the lives of others.
