Meeting at Tiaro to talk about building a public pool

COUNCIL will facilitate a meeting with Tiaro and district residents to discuss community support for a proposed public swimming pool to be built in the area.

The meeting will be chaired by councillor for sport, recreation, open spaces and events, Darren Everard and will take place on at the Tiaro Royal Hotel from 7pm on Monday, March 24.

The Tiaro and District Pool Committee invited all residents to go along and have their say.

"I'm really looking forward to hearing from the residents on the future of the region," Cr Everard said.

"Obviously this is only a very early stage and as a council we will have to investigate a lot further to see if the project is viable on a number of fronts.

"But I am very interested to hear what the committee is proposing and urge any interested residents to come along."

For more information, phone Cr Everard on 0448 045 041 or email the committee dnwt@live.com.au.
