MEGHAN Markle has joined her royal beau at the opening of the Invictus Games for their first public appearance together.

The lovebirds were sat roughly 20 seats away from each other, with Markle a couple of rows away from the Royal Box.

The Suits actress was accompanied by her friend, Markus Anderson, who reportedly introduced her to Prince Harry last year.

Markle clapped and cheered enthusiastically as the athletes entered the arena in her home town of Toronto, Canada.

Always stylish, she wore a deep burgundy dress with a plum leather jacket draped over her shoulders for the event.

Markle was reportedy spotted applauding when her boyfriend took to the stage to give a speech.

Throughout the game - Prince Harry - who wore a navy suit, sat with US First lady Melania Trump.

The two had met earlier in the day when Prince Harry had held separate bilateral meetings with Ms. Trump as well as Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.

The Prince is widely expected to wed the US actress, who he has been dating for just over a year.

Markle revealed her love for her royal boyfriend recently in a tell-all interview with Vanity Fairmagazine, adding weight to speculation about a royal engagement.

She said: "I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell - but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time."

Markle told the magazine her relationship with Harry was "a great love story".
