Missing link of Hervey Bay Mobility Corridor completed

THE missing link of the Hervey Bay Mobility Corridor has now been completed.

Running along the former railway line through the centre of town, the new section of the pathway commences at Elizabeth St and goes through Dayman St and Miller St towards the Urangan Pier.

The mobility corridor will give pedestrians, cyclists and mobility scooters better access around the area.

Councillor for Division 10 George Seymour said that it was a much needed connection for residents and visitors between the pier, the shopping centre and the Urangan Point State School.

"The $500,000 project included the installation of flexible asphalt walkway, drainage pipes and culverts, landscaping, paving and lights," he said.
