Morahan to bolster Wallabies squad

LUKE MORAHAN helped University beat Sunnybank 46-20 in the Queensland Premier Rugby grand final last week.

He will be in Argentina trying to help the Wallabies win some pride this weekend.

The 22-year-old Queensland Reds back is winging his way to Rosario after answering a call to arms for the final game of the Rugby Championship against the Pumas Sunday morning.

The injury-hit Australians need a fullback after losing Berrick Barnes with a punctured lung during the loss to the Springboks on Sunday. Morahan (pictured) played his only Test to date in that position in the shock loss to Scotland in Newcastle in June.

Morahan has played 37 times for Queensland in the Super Rugby competition, scoring 50 points since making his debut in 2009

Melbourne Rebels lock Caderyn Neville was also on the flight to Argentina with Morahan. Radike Samo, Scott Higginbotham and Sitaleki Timani are struggling with injuries so Neville will be on standby if needed.
