More than 50 school windows smashed by intruder

A MAN has been charged after windows were damaged at a Cornubia school last night.

It will be alleged around 11pm a man used a metal grate to damage more than 50 windows at the California Creek Road school.

Police called to the incident located a man nearby taking him into custody.

A 17-year-old Daisy Hill man has been charged with wilful damage to property which is part of a school and trespass.

He is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 6.
