More industry-leading awards for Chronicle

YOUR Chronicle continues to punch above its weight in the news industry, with more prestigious awards won by our talented team.

Hot on the heels of Valerie Horton's win in the sports photography section at the Queensland Clarion Awards, the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers' Association has chosen long-time Chronicle photographer Alistair Brightman's Mud Bath sports photo as Rural/ Regional/Suburban Sports Photograph of the Year.

The Chronicle marketing team also won the award for Cause-Related Marketing Up to 10,000 circulation with our baby kits campaign, the brainchild of Erin Sorrensen who was announced this week as marketing manager for our stable of publications.

Congratulating both winners, Chronicle general manager Darren Bosley said it had been a big week of awards for the Chronicle team.

On the marketing appointment, he said: "Erin brings a wealth of experience with APN that includes recently implementing marketing strategies for the group in the northern region of Queensland.

"Her new role will continue to cement our partnerships with organisations and events on the Fraser Coast to ensure our extensive reach is utilised for the benefit of Fraser Coast.

"She will also work closely with our many distribution channels ... to ensure our audience is heard and are part of the development of our newspaper and digital brands."
