Motorists beware

WE’RE being reminded to be extra careful about hazards on Fraser Coast roads during wet weather.

Minister for Main Roads Craig Wallace is urging drivers to be mindful of travelling on roads in areas that flood.

“It’s dangerous and I strongly advise motorists to avoid crossing any flooded roads, causeways and bridges. It’s not worth the risk.

“Listen to weather updates and road reports on your local radio and, if you have to head out, slow down, drive to conditions, obey the speed limit and take notice of signage.”
