MP calls on community to weigh in on education
STATE member for Maryborough Anne Maddern is calling on all community members to join the conversation in planning Queensland's first Education Accord.
Mrs Madden said she would host a round table conversation with local school representatives at the Senior Citizens Centre on Alice St this Friday at 4pm.
"It is now our opportunity as a community to work together and make sure that the opinions and interests of our Maryborough electorate are considered in the Education Accord," Mrs Madden said.
"The Education Accord will bring together ideas that will determine priorities for our schools.
"Our local community will have a powerful voice in helping shape the future of education in this state."
The feedback received will then inform discussion at the Queensland Education Accord Summit, to be held in Brisbane on September 25.
