Mum's terror in road rage attack with newborn in car
A MOTHER has spoken of her terror as a man beat on her window screaming profanities in a Sunshine Coast road rage attack.
Nicole Ebert was driving on Maroochydore Rd at Kunda park on Tuesday just before 9am, with her 27-day-old son in the car, when she changed lanes and her ordeal began.
"I checked my mirrors before changing lanes," Mrs Ebert told the Daily.
"I had plenty of space so I indicated before moving over."
She said a man in a light blue sedan sped up behind her, "went crazy on the horn", and continued to tailgate until both cars stopped at a red light at the intersection of Maroochydore Rd and Pike St, in the eastbound lanes.
"Then he got out, started yelling at me and bashing on my window," Mrs Ebert said.
"He was saying I cut him off, tried ramming him off the road and lots of swear words."
Terrified, the mother stayed in her car, unsure of what the man planned to do.
When the light turned green she started driving away, but the man followed and continued to tailgate for another 3km on the until she turned off onto the Sunshine Mwy towards Maroochydore.
Mrs Ebert has appealed to anyone who saw the incident, which played out during peak hour traffic, to contact her on social media.
She hoped a witness saw the man's registration plate, so she can report the matter to police.
She described the man as aged in his 30s or 40s, and wearing a grey shirt with a colourful picture on the front.
