Nathan up for test in Brisbane
NATHAN Hauritz has passed his first test of the summer.
The 28-year-old former Hervey Bay junior cricketer has been named in the Australian squad to face the West Indies in the first Test starting at the Gabba in Brisbane next Thursday.
If he makes the final 11, Hauritz, an off-spinner whose parents still live in the Whale City, will be playing in his eighth Test.
He has taken 24 wickets to-date with a best of three for 16 on his debut against India in 2004.
