New ALDI will open before end of 2016 and create 15-20 jobs

THE development plans are being finalised as the new ALDI supermarket starts to take shape in Urangan, with plans to open in time for Christmas.

The third ALDI store on the Fraser Coast is under construction next to the new McDonalds on Boat Harbour Dr near Elizabeth St.

An ALDI Australia spokeswoman said the recruitment for the new store had begun with a "view to opening the store in December 2016."

"Each of our stores supports 15 to 20 employees, offering rewarding career opportunities for local residents," she said.

There are currently three jobs advertised on the ALDI careers website.

1. Retail Assistant - $24.00 per hour

2. Store Management Trainee - $52K - $56K

3. Assistant Store Manager - $52K - $59K

ALDI primarily offers full-time and permanent part-time retail assistant roles.

The spokeswoman said the company was working closely with local planning bodies including council, other businesses and community groups to help ensure the new store positively impacts the local area.

More information on careers at ALDI Urangan will become available at ALDIcareers.com.au in due course.
