New-look Bullets developing its junior players

REPRESENTATIVE commitments have meant Kerrianne Farrelly has not been present at games but the Bullets Nubees coach is happy with what she has seen so far.

Bullets have maintained only two players from its Hervey Bay Netball Division 1 title-winning team last year.

Farrelly admitted she did not expect her side to win any games this year given the emphasis on development, but her Nubees have shot to second on the table.

"We actually applied for Division 2,” Farrelly said.

Farrelly said she preferred to see the squad's commitment on the training court, and if their skills developed she would consider the season a success. But Bullets' win over Flames could have shifted her gaze to a slightly higher goal.

"I can see Breakaways killing it and getting to the grand final,” she said.

"The girls proved last weekend that they're the team to compete at the end of the year.”
