Survey shows majority in favour of new Urangan uniform

URANGAN State High School students are set to wear a new uniform. 

Principal Ross Zelow said the school's P&C association had carried out extensive consultation to ensure students, parents and the community could all have a say on Urangan High's new threads.

"The P&C made their decision with consideration for the 332 responses to their survey - 65% were in support for the new uniform option," Mr Zelow said.

"Those that didn't support generally didn't like the grey colour polos for the seniors."

New uniforms would be sold at the school's uniform shop, as well as local outlets.

"We want to support local businesses and to give parents the choice where to purchase their uniforms," he said.

Mr Zelow said they intended to have full implementation of the uniform by 2015 to coincide with Year 7 students starting.
