A new way to look at weather in the Wide Bay

PEOPLE can now access the Bureau of Meteorology's new MetEye service for areas in Wide Bay, Federal Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss says.

He said MetEye combined popular elements of the BoM website in one location, to provide real-time weather information.

"The new services will deliver a forecasting viewer which will combine seven day forecasts, satellite and radar imagery and measurements of temperature, rainfall, cloud cover, humidity and wind speed," Mr Truss said.

"The service will also display information on if a river is rising, and whether it is at minor, moderate or major flooding levels",  said Mr Truss.
