New year starts in the watch house

A 20-YEAR-OLD man who took offence to his mate being arrested on New Year’s Day got himself into trouble too when he swore and yelled at police.

Cameron David Tuohy’s obscene language towards police officers left him in the watch-house in the early hours of January 1.

He pleaded guilty in the Maryborough Magistrates Court to being a public nuisance and contravening a direction to provide his fingerprints to police.

Tuohy was given a six-month good behaviour bond and fined $100.
