Newbie teams graduate to fully-fledged Blockheads

QUEENSLANDERS Jess and Ayden are now officially on The Block.

The renovation newbies survived tonight's final elimination round to earn a spot on the reality show.

The Gold Coast parents hope to earn enough money at auction to build their dream family home on their hinterland block in Maudsland.

Also through are Sydney's Josh and Charlotte and Adelaide's Tim and Anastasia.

Busselton siblings Luke and Ebony were sent home after failing to complete their bathroom makeover.

"We wouldn't have got through the first and second round without that (Ebony's designs)," Luke said.

The remaining three teams were also introduced to the red, three-storey South Yarra apartment building they will transform into luxury, three-bedroom apartments over 10 weeks.

They also learned the true meaning of the show's triple threat theme: returning Sky High and Glasshouse stars Matt and Kim, George and Bec and Deanne and Darren.

"What is this an all-stars show or something? What are we, chopped liver?" Ayden said.

Monday's episode will reveal what the three returning teams will do on the show.
