Nine Fraser Coast teens named for Qld teams

NINE Fraser Coast hockey players will represent Queensland at the under-15 national championships.

Hannah Callum-Sanders, Rose Elmer, Madeline Kenny, Andie Staples and Annalyse Tevant were selected in the Queensland U15 Girl's #1 team and Lily Browning and Beth Elmer were selected in the #2 team.

Maryborough's Diarmid Chappell and Kawunagan's Harrisen Douma have been selected in the Queensland U15 boys #1 Team.

The announcement comes after a three-day trial held in Brisbane from March 2-4, at which 16 players were selected for each team and eight shadows overall from the original squads.

The teams will prepare to compete at the Australian championships, which will be held in Wollongong, NSw, from April 18-27.
