NRL player agent interviewed over Kingaroy jockey's death
POLICE say they have no new leads into Shaun Miles's death, but have interviewed a Sydney-based NRL player agent as part of the investigation.
Brisbane Times reported police were reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel, but could not confirm reports Mr Miles had been involved in an altercation with player agent Paul Sutton outside the pub.
Mr Sutton, whose client list at SFX Sports management includes Dragons star Josh Dugan and Manly five-eighth Kieran Foran, has been interviewed by police.
"That person has voluntarily spoken to investigating detectives and he's assisting with inquiries at this stage," Inspector Frank said.
"We're still viewing that footage to determine if there's anyone else we need to speak to."
Mr Miles's widow, Gail Miles, has spoken out about her husband, and urged people to avoid all altercations.
"Just don't drink and fight," she told the South Burnett Times.
"It just doesn't solve anything."
She described her husband as a funny man who "would do anything for anybody".
Kingaroy police acting Senior Sergeant Nick Nitschke said investigations were continuing, although no new information was available.
"Investigations are ongoing," he said.
"All investigations where things are deemed to not be as standard are treated as serious.
"At this stage, it's an unexplained death and it's being investigated."
The body of Mr Miles, 43, was found in the front yard of a Fisher St home in Kingaroy about 7am Friday.
Police believe he had been involved in an altercation at a pub the night before, which was a line of inquiry officers were investigating.
