No suspicious circumstances in woman's death: police

UPDATE: A woman aged in her 70s has been found dead in her home in Maryborough's March Lane.

A police media spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

A neighbour told the Chronicle the woman was "very much a recluse" and a long-time resident of the street.

It's believed Maryborough police were called to the scene at 10.30am on Friday.

No further details are available at this stage.

Note: An earlier version of the story said a child had died but that information, from a police media spokesman in Brisbane, was incorrect.
