NSW man wanted over brutal attack on business owner

POLICE have released images of a NSW man wanted over an unsolved attack on an elderly business owner who was tied to a chair, beaten and robbed.

A 76-year-old man was sitting in his Toongabbie home in October last year when three masked men burst into the room, punched him to the floor and demanded money.

The man was then tied up and dragged to his bedroom where was bound to the chair and repeatedly assaulted.

A beanie was pulled over his eyes and the attackers continued to threaten him until they gained keys to his nearby shop and stole a sum of cash.

The man eventually managed to free himself from the chair and called for help.

Almost 12 months later police believe CCTV footage may help them catch the culprits.
