Old photo tells Bazaar's history

BRENDAN McGuire’s curiosity was aroused recently when a friend showed him a 100-year-old picture taken of Bazaar Street in Maryborough. The friend had bought the old picture at the local Thursday street markets.

Brendan, who owns Absolute Framing, decided to try to replicate the same picture.

He worked out that the original picture was snapped from the post office clock tower so he organised permission to go to the same spot.

The amazing thing about the two shots is how Bazaar Street has been able to retain its same character for 100 years.
