SIXTY glamorous couples enjoyed a fun-filled night at the St Mary's College formal on Friday night.

Principal Joy Massingham said it was a lovely night, and the students were "real ladies and gentlemen".

"There seemed to be a 50s and 60s style," she said.

"It was very dignified and glamorous."

She said the award for the most unique arrival went to a couple who arrived on scooters.

The event was held at the Brolga Theatre.
