Our boys in blue get into a hairy situation

LIFE is getting a little hairy for a dozen police officers at the Hervey Bay Police Station after a group signed up for the annual Movember challenge.

Throughout November men across Australia have been challenged to grow a moustache to raise funds and awareness for men's health issues.

Hervey Bay police Detective Senior Constable Brett Everest decided to organise a group of officers to take part.

"We are doing it for the same reasons the campaign runs - making people aware of men's health," he said.

He said Hervey Bay police's fundraising efforts would be completed predominantly in-house.
