Baby Parker’s a perfect Christmas present
THREE-DAY-OLD Parker George Perry travelled more than 10,000km in his mother's tummy, to be the only baby born on Christmas Day in Hervey Bay.
After parents Abby and James moved to Sydney from the UK two months ago, the expecting couple decided to drive up to Maryborough to visit Abby's family.
"I went into the hospital for a check up on [December 23] because of the drive and because I was overdue by a week, they said they would induce me," Abby said.
"And they did and at 2.34pm on Christmas day, Parker was born."
Abby said she was glad to have had Parker with her family so close.
"It all worked out pretty well because everyone's here," she said.
"Pretty great Christmas present I'd say."
