WE WERE THERE: Reporting the latest in local sport

WHEN Hervey Bay Seagulls marched to the Bundaberg Rugby League grand final the Fraser Coast Chronicle was there.

The Seagulls and Wallaroos combined for one of Fraser Coast's best years in rugby league to sweep all three minor premierships: Hervey Bay's first grade and Wallaroos' reserves and under-18s.

The Chronicle was there for every step of the journey, as we were for all Fraser Coast competitors this season.

It is The Chronicle team's unmatched dedication to telling the stories of the region's athletes that sets them apart.

We have and will continue to cover every athlete's journey in swimming, rugby union, football, netball, hockey, softball, touch, motocross, triathlon and gymnastics, to name just a few.

We've celebrated their local triumphs and representative selections, and have evolved to take our unmatched coverage of sport with play-by-play commentary and videos online.
