Pay dog rego on time for discount

Dog registrations paid up by October 29 will secure a $25 discount on fees for Fraser Coast pet owners.

In addition, 25 cents from every registration will be donated to Guide Dogs Queensland.

With discount, the registration fee for a whole dog drops from $99 to $74 and from $45 to $20 for a de-sexed dog.

There are more than 18,000 dogs registered across the Fraser Coast. Last year the Fraser Coast council responded to more than 2000 reports of roaming dogs. Those that were registered were quickly reunited with their owners.

A helpful way to discourage your dog from roaming is to have your pet de-sexed. Remember to keep your records up to date with the council in the event your dog does wander.
