PBR to buck into action... don’t miss out
IT'S the event not to be missed.
On Saturday night Rockhampton's Browne Park will be used as a different kind of battleground when some of the world's best bull riders take on some of the country's toughest and rankest bulls in the Rural Weekly Live Series PBR Rockhampton Final.
Here's five reasons why you'd be mad to miss Saturday night's action.
1
The world's best bull riders
THE PBR riders are the best at what they do. They are professional athletes in their field and they set out to prove their titles every ride. Singleton's Cody Heffernan is currently ranked number one in the PBR standings for 2015 with Troy Wilkinson from Upper Horton, NSW, holding on to the top three series final qualifier badge. But if there's one rider you don't want to miss, it's the series leader and reigning Australian PBR Champion from New Zealand, Frazer Babbington, who took out last year's Rockhampton PBR title.
2
Bucking Bull of the Year
PBR's 2015 Bucking Bull of the Year, Gotcha Rockin, is bull riding royalty and will be gracing the PBR arena this Saturday night. Gotcha Rockin is a 700kg, six-year-old banteng bred bull owned by Clermont's Dakota Brandenburg, the youngest female PBR contractor in Australia.
3
Action live on the big screen
YOU'LL see the dust and dirt fly as the riders battle it out for eight seconds in the arena. The big screen will capture all of the action and will replay all the rides so you won't miss a thing.
4
Casey Barnes will entertain
FORMER Australian Idol singer Casey Barnes will provide live entertainment at the PBR after-party. The after-party will be held at Browne Park and will keep the action going long after the bulls have left the arena.
5
Everyone will be talking about it
DON'T miss the event everyone will be talking about. The Rockhampton PBR attracted 3000 people last year with expectations for a bigger crowd this weekend. The Rural Weekly and Morning Bulletin PBR is fast becoming one of the big nights on the region's social calendar.
