New agenda for PCYC
HOUSE numbers, beach cleaning and access to Hervey Bay's beleaguered PCYC are all on the agenda for this morning's Fraser Coast Regional Council Infrastructure and Environment Committee meeting.
Councillors will examine proposals to build a footpath connecting the PCYC car park with Boat Harbour Drive. The sports centre has been at the centre of a safety storm since fire inspectors forced its closure almost three months ago.
The meeting, to be chaired by councillor Linda Harris, will also consider beach cleaning services in Hervey Bay as the time to establish a new five-year contract comes around again.
Contractor A and K Slashing held the first agreement, and contractor Coastal Maintenance and Equipment Hire holds the current five-year agreement, which is now due for renewal.
Also on the agenda is an investigation into possible duplications of house numbers at Woocoo Drive, in Oakhurst Gardens.
The meeting, which starts at 9.30am at the Tavistock Street council offices, will go into confidential to discuss the acquisition of land in Tiaro under the environment levy program.
