Peter Everett hung out to dry on Celebrity Apprentice

A RECORD amount of money was raised on last night's episode of Celebrity Apprentice.

TV presenter Peter Everett was the latest celeb to be fired by boss Mark Bouris after losing a laundry challenge in which the two teams raised more than $327,000 for charity.

The lovable "nice guy" of the show, Everett melted under the heat and pressure of being Team Fabulous captain.

"Nice guys don't always win," Bouris said after firing Everett.

Swimming legend Dawn Fraser stripped down in an Aussie Bum photo shoot to help their team secure a massive $100,000 donation.

It was the largest single donation in the history of the show in Australia.

But it wasn't enough to get Team Fabulous over the line.

Team Supreme, led by former AFL player Dermott Brereton, fought back from the seemingly early defeat to raise $202,580.

Combined with Team Fabulous' $124,851 haul, it was the most total money raised in a single challenge in the show's three series.

Brereton donated 10 percent of the total money raised, $32,000, to losing team captain Peter Everett's charity.

The Celebrity Apprentice continues next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 9/WIN.
