Police to crack down on traffic light and sign offences

POLICE have issued a warning to motorists that officers will be cracking down on drivers who disobey traffic light and traffic sign road rules this month.

Regulatory road rules are developed for driver safety, and include giving way to the right at unsigned cross intersections, abide by traffic signs, lights and road markings, and obeying the speed limit.

Further information at the Department of Transport and Main Roads website www.tmr.qld.gov.au and search for "road rules refresher".
