Couple on the run after alleged knife attack on 18-year-old

DETECTIVES are investigating following a serious assault in Springfield on Wednesday afternoon.

Initial information indicates at around 5pm a woman was assaulted by a man armed with a knife and another woman at the intersection of Karamena Avenue and Bridgewater Road.

The pair then stole the woman's dash cam before fleeing the scene.

The 18-year-old woman was transported to Ipswich Hospital with non-life threatening lacerations to her arms, chest and legs.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 185cm, with brown hair and a tattoo on his left shoulder. He was last seen wearing jeans with no shirt.

The woman is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 163 cm tall, of a slim build with long brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing denim shorts and a singlet.

The pair may be travelling in a silver Holden Commodore.
