Hunt on for three men after violent home invasion

POLICE are investigating a home invasion at Raceview overnight.

Police were called to an address in Cascade Street at 10.27pm.

Initial investigations indicate at least three men attended the address and made threats to the occupants.

One of the men was reported to have brandished a firearm at a female occupant of the house.

Demands were made for money.

The men entered the house via the rear door before later exiting via a front security screen that had been dislodged.

The men fled a short time later in a vehicle.

The woman received minor abrasions and cuts as a result of the incident and was given first aid at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have noticed anything or anyone suspicious in the area last night to contact them.
