Police hunt men who ripped ATM out of wall

POLICE are hunting two armed men who allegedly ripped an ATM from the wall of a service station, hoisted it onto the back of their truck and fled down the Princes Hwy on the NSW South Coast.

Armed with a sledgehammer and chains and with balaclavas covering their faces, the men allegedly stormed the shop and threatened the lone attendant early Monday.

Once the ATM was secured to the rear tray of the white dual cab ute, the men drove north, passing the Basin View turn-off.

Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
