Police investigating utes at TAFE find youths stealing table

HERVEY Bay police caught a group of youths at the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE campus allegedly attempting to steal a table on Sunday morning.

Sergeant Paul Byrne of the Hervey Bay police said they had received information from the public about the use of utility vehicles in the grounds of the TAFE college.

"At 11am, on Sunday morning police have located four youths attempting to steal a wooden table," Sgt Byrne said.

He said three of the youths were under 17 years of age and had been cautioned about the offence.

"One youth has been issued with a notice to appear at Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on charges of stealing and trespass," Sgt Byrne said.
