Police officer, 26, busted for drugs at Stereosonic

A 26-year-old Queensland police officer has quit the force after being busted with drugs at Brisbane's Stereosonic dance music festival at the weekend.

The female constable, who was stationed in the state's northern region, was one of 139 people arrested at Sunday's festival at the Brisbane showgrounds.

A QPS ethical standards misconduct investigation into the officer commenced earlier in the week, however, the constable has since resigned.

Her resignation means the department will not pursue a disciplinary investigation.

The 26-year-old has been issued with a notice to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 5 next year.
