Police release major fatigue zone map for across the state

POLICE have released a brochure with a map outlining the major fatigue zones for travellers on the Bruce Highway and other major roads across the state.

All too often, holidays are cut short by avoidable tragedies and the Central Police Region want everybody to put road safety at the top of their to-do-list, leading into the Christmas holidays.

Whether you are intending on taking a trip, expecting visitors or have friends travelling this holiday period, help us get the message out!

The Central Region is promoting a brochure to reinforce the road safety message, particularly for visitors to Queensland.  The brochure includes indicative fatigue zones and road safety messaging in five languages other than English.

The brochure is available on-line through the following link -  'Don't make this your last trip'.

Businesses, including community groups interested in promoting the brochure are encouraged to contact Senior Sergeant Mark Burgess, Central Police Region on telephone (07) 49323400 for printed copies.

Remember that road safety is everybody's responsibility.
