Police retracing dead man's footsteps

POLICE have confirmed they are looking into the last known movements of a man in his 40s who was found dead at Fisher St, Kingaroy.

But they have not confirmed they were talking to an NRL player agent in relation to the death.

Media reports have said the agent was involved in an incident with a man at a Kingaroy pub.

But police have said they were still investigating the cause of death.

"We're investigating the discovery of the body of the man as a whole," a Queensland Police Media spokesman said.

"We'll be checking his known whereabouts and movements leading up to his death."

Staff at The Club Hotel have reportedly been questioned by police in relation to the incident.

A part of Fisher St was reopened earlier today after being closed for more than 24 hours.
