UPDATE: A ONE-YEAR-OLD boy removed from the Gold Coast University Hospital on Friday has been located safe and well.

He and his two-year-old brother have been found in Tasmania.

Police have thanked the public and media for their assistance.

 

EARLIER: POLICE are searching for a one-year-old boy amid serious concerns for his wellbeing after he was allegedly removed from a Gold Coast hospital.

The boy, who requires medical treatment, was allegedly removed from the Gold Coast University Hospital on Wednesday by two people who are known to him.

He was also with his two-year-old brother at the time.

Police have described the man as Caucasian in appearance, about 190cm tall with blonde/light brown hair, blue eyes and a proportionate build.

The woman is Caucasian in appearance, about 165cm tall with blonde hair.
