Police seek public's help with suspicious fire

TEN months after a suspicious fire destroyed a Lowood house, police continue to appeal for public assistance.

At around 12.30am on May 10, 2015 a house on McInnes Street was destroyed by fire.

Evidence taken from the scene suggests that an accelerant was used to ignite the blaze.

Investigators believe that that someone knows how this fire started and urge them to come forward.

"They don't need to speak to us in person or provide any of their details. Anyone with any information which could assist our investigations is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously," Detective Senior Sergeant Heath McQueen said.

"We believe that we are getting closer to solving this crime and are perhaps, just a phone call away from this."
