Hervey Bay police station cockatiel still not talking

HERVEY Bay police have kept "Cockatiel" in custody on Wednesday night.

The bird walked through the front door of the station on Wednesday morning and police said they received a number of inquiries regarding the ownership of the mischievous character but had been unable to locate its owner.

"Please be advised that this very young and very tame cockateil has probably gone missing from the general vicinity of Hervey Bay Police Station recently," a police representative said.

"If you think you may own this little cutie, please attend the Hervey Bay Police Station during business hours with proof of ownership eg: recent photo to be able to identify the markings on this young cockateil."
