Police wait for blood alcohol results after car crash

POLICE are waiting for the results of a blood test for alcohol after a car crash on the corner of Boundary and Denmans Camp Rd about 6pm on Thursday.

Hervey Bay Police Sergeant Darryn Morris said paramedics and medical staff smelt alcohol on the 25-year-old woman's breath.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Three other drivers were caught driving above the blood alcohol limit in Hervey Bay on Thursday night.

Sgt Morris said a woman blew twice the legal alcohol limit about 11.40pm on Thursday on Main St Pialba.

He said she recorded a reading of 0.163%

Police stopped a 45-year-old Victorian female who recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.056% about 9.45pm on Charlton Esp, Scarness.

A Torquay man, 44, recorded a reading of 0.06% about 1am on Carlo St, Pialba.

They will appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court at a later date.
