Power and the glory for Ron

HERVEY Bay's Ron Power proved he is still a Master when it comes to playing darts.

The former Queensland representative showed his class by winning three gold medals during the Maryborough Masters Games.

Power threw his way to victory in the 45 years and over age group winning the singles and teaming up with Myrtle Genrich to win the mixed pairs title and Brian Hall to win the mens pairs event.

But Power, who got 10 180s in the recent Zone 5 Open, wasn't the only player to hit gold in his age group at the Maryborough and District Darts Association complex.

The Hervey Bay duo of Gail McLeod and Kathy James teamed up to win the ladies pairs while Lynda Lambert won the singles crown.

In the 12-44 years age group, Peter Morris combined with Glennis Garner to win the mixed pairs title and Craig Coe to win the men's pairs gold.

Garner also won the ladies pairs with Nikki Coe while Ben Gaiter (men) and Dom Quinn (ladies) won the singles titles.
